Two New Blue Bikes

We recently completed two very different blue bikes:

On the left a short chainstay curved seat tube 29er, on the right a Rohloff equipped  break away couplered upright road/touring bike.

Designed by Miles and built by John, this 29er is a bit more nimble than most production frames, while still keeping the big wheel advantages of stability and easy rolling over bumps.  We have ridden quite a few other 29ers, and have both missed the handling of 26″ wheels in tight switchbacks, narrow singletrack tree threading and other fun situations that we seek out.   This design shortens up the back of the bike and makes for a really fun handling frame.

This bike will be used for long comfortable road rides and tours all over the world. Equipped  with the Ritchey Break Away system it fits neatly in a suitcase for travel.  The Rohloff hub wheelset from cyclemonkey should give many years of worry free service in all conditions.
